He joined Scottish Ballet www.scottishballet.co.uk as a Soloist in July 2016 after making his mark with Birmingham Royal Ballet . Luke forms the third generation of a growing Schaufuss dance dynasty. His grandparents were leading lights of the Danish Ballet and he is the son of international stars Zara Deakin and Peter Schaufuss.
Luke has performed at The Paris Opera, The Kennedy Centre in Washington, The New York State Theatre and The Coliseum in London.
Luke trained at The Royal Danish Ballet School and The Peter Schaufuss Ballet School. As a child he danced the part of Prince William in DIANA THE PRINCESS, The Boy in H.C. ANDERSEN and Childhood in MICHAEL, I’M BAD. At the age of only 16 years Luke made his debut in the title role, TOMMY -The Dancical for the Peter Schaufuss Ballet.
Luke lives between London, Edinburgh and Copenhagen.
