Here are a few basic guidelines if ever someone claiming to be an agent or scout approaches you.
1. We will only ever contact you by email in the following format firstname@establishedmodels.com. If you see an email that does not end with @establishedmodels.com it is not from us.
2. If you receive an email that does not come directly from us, delete it. Do not reply, even if it is just to say no
3. If you receive a phone call from someone claiming to be from the agency and you are suspicious, hang up and call our office number +44 (0) 20 3696 9911. One of the team will be able to tell you if the call was genuine.
4. Our Model Scouts will always have ID with them. We only hold interviews with potential models at our London Office: 16 Neal’s Yard, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9DP
5. Established Models requires your consent for a child, under 18, to become a model. We will want you to fully understand and approve his or her terms of engagement. We won’t interrupt a child’s schooling and, should a model, still in education, work for us, he or she will only work with your consent and in the holidays or at weekends.
6. DO NOT ever pay for so called professional photographs that has not been organised or recommended by the agency. These shoots are usually a complete waste of money and, any professional fashion model agency will always want to take their own photographs. It is prohibited by law to charge up-front fees and these set ups usually do. They will claim to provide a portfolio and promise work. Usually, they take your money and disappear.
7. Please be aware of people approaching you via social media such as Instagram. If one of our agents or scouts contact you then please do not respond on social media but instead call the agency or email info@establishedmodels.com stating that you have been approached via social media by us.
8. Established Models are a member of BFMA (British Fashion Model Agency Association) please see our section labelled BFMA.
